Gold Coast!

Weeee!! Just got back from Australia..

Really want to post about my trip before i forget where i went haha.. So anyway, in the midst of renovating my house, I have bought tickets for Australia since March when Scoot was having this incredible sale.

I actually bought return tickets for 2 to gold coast from Scoot with my 25kg checked in luggage for the coming back trip and 15/20kg luggage to gold coast for about $770 in total. Not a bad steal i must say...

I didn't really have time to plan about this trip but i booked the hotels in March as well from Agoda and there was free cancellation anyway. So i actually cancelled my booking further in May when i decided that i shouldn't stay all 9 days in gold coast.

I wanted to explore further up North rather than staying so many days in gold coast so i research a little and found out more about Fraser Island. And so... this is how i planned:

Trip: 12th June (Overnight Flight) hence reach gold coast at 13th till 21st June morning flight back to Singapore.

Day 1 Saturday(13th June): Landed, Collect car rental at East Coast rentals, proceed to drive to hotel at surfer's paradise ( Tower of chevron Renaissance), Went to movie world, Back to hotel, Walked around surfer's paradise

Day 2 Sunday: Paradise Country, Sea world, Sky Point observation, Night market at the beach, Time Zone

Day 3 Monday: Dream World, Pacific fair shopping centre, Dinner at surfer's paradise, Time zone again (ridiculously big and fun!)

Day 4 Tuesday: Visit Robina town for a while, Fishing tackle shop visit before a long drive up to Noosa.(close to 3 hrs). Stayed at Hotel Laguna in Hastings street. Walked around the street and ate at Sushi Bar.

Day 5 Wednesday: Early day tour to Fraser Island. Pick up outside hotel at 6.15 am and back by 5.45pm. Lovely place. Walked down to Noosa Junction and back to Hastings. Ate at Surf club which is by the beach.

Day 6 Thursday: Morning fishing and crabbing hire. Visit BCF (Boating, Camping, Fishing) shop before a long drive up back to gold coast. Check in Vibe Hotel which is opposite tower of chevron renaissance. Nougat shopping around Mantra legends hotel. Hogs Breath for dinner.

Day 7 Friday: Half day fishing out sea. 6 am to 11am. Hot Ramen for lunch in the cold weather. Rest before going for water cruise around gold coast. Went to Sporty's warehouse to look at some sports attire, equipment and fishing tackle. Cheesecake shop for a muffin and cake. Night market by the beach again before dinner at Ben's Fish&chips. End of with Timezone!!

Day 8 Saturday: Finally to surfer's paradise beach in the morning before heading to Carrara market(weekend market). Proceed to Wet&wild, shower and dry up before going to Skywalk. Walked around Tamborine mountain after and had ice-cream and cheesecake there. Bought some tea leaves before heading back down to surfer's paradise. Played at King tutt's Putt Putt the Egyptian and went for dinner at a korean bbq restaurant. Lastly ended of the whole trip with a Bang at Timezone.

Day 9 Sunday: Return rental car and get to the airport with the free shuttle provided.

The trip was amazing and i really had great fun. Actually most money will be spent on food and food and food.
I bought the theme park tickets online. Actually bought two bundles.
1) Movie world + sea world + Wet & wild and free entry to paradise country.
2) Dream world + white water + sky point and free morning or afternoon cruise

Tours:
1) Fishing and crabbing at noosa by O boat hire. (totally friendly and fun guide. Had super loads of fun and also super yummy crab cooked on board)
2) Fishing charter at gold coast (Was not fun due to the freaking cold weather and strong wind though the sun was shining. Tackle was too heavy and fish was too small for that heavy tackle. Right hand crank instead of the Left which made me suffer so much i had aching arms for next two days)
3) Fraser island day tour pick up from noosa. (Lovely island to visit and could have done a 2D tour and stay on the island if i had more time)

Moved around by East coast car rental which had great service and I had a safe and comfy ride for the 9D using a Suzuki swift. Was able to fetch my sister, brother-in-law and two little kids behind too!

Would love to upload photos but it will take a super long time. Haven't collate all the photos as well so.. another time then.. =D

New house!

It's been a while since i blogged.. So much to talk about but so little time..

Anyway feeling kind of excited as I am getting my keys to my new flat soon.. Time really flies though i really didn't expect to get it so quickly..

Have already been looking around for ideas of my new house..

So things i have learnt while looking through:

1) I subscribed to Home Decor to take a look at more photos and read about more info on the recent home decor trends. Their website is really good enough if you don't subscribe too!

2) Went to library to look at free old magazines which have great ideas too!

3) Qanvast is quite a good application to download and read!

4) Gain city have quite good prices as compared to courts and best denki.

5) Joining a watsapp group of facebook group of your new BTO or other types of flats is really useful for sharing information and even doing bulk purchases.

6) I learnt a little bit on air con! What is the meaning of system 3 and system 4. which actually means how many air con the compressor can hold up to..

Well i have many more amazing stuff that i learnt and its really kind of fun shopping for furniture.. Really wish my boy would be as excited as I am though..

AND

I am planning for my next holiday trip which is in June! yeah!! Going to Gold coast and deciding on going further to brisbane and all the way to Noosa.. But well still thinking cause of the budget that i should be on..

Thats all for now! continuing my search of ideas and trip itinerary.

GSS!

GSS!

GSS is almost over for most shops. What have you been spending your money on?

I think I really spent a lot this GSS on clothes especially at boutiques that I hardly buy stuff from such as Topshop and Miss Selfridge.

Anyway just want to recommend some cool products for this post and maybe take pictures of the clothes I bought during GSS.

Shizens

Been using their products for a period of about 6 months I think? the above picture consist of the Eye charm pro,  Eye charm brow enhancer, Lip tattoo, Mascara and the mascara drip.(left to right)

These were recommended to me by my sister who loves makeup and now I am really loving their products. However it takes a bit of practice for you to master using their products. So the eye charm pro works together with the mascara. First apply the mascara through your lashes before dipping the brush of the eye charm pro on the tip of your eye lashes. You will see the white flakes getting stuck on your eyelashes. Then apply the mascara over it again. It definitely makes me look as if I am wearing fake eye lashes if I repeat the steps more than twice. It also leaves your eyelashes looking really soft and natural.

The lip tattoo is really cool as well. Just have to apply it on your lips and it stains your lips with a healthy pink for the whole day. Totally awesome!

The Eye charm brow enhancer works like the eye charm pro. It keeps your eye brows looking really natural with the furry stuff that sticks to your eyebrow.

Anyway the mascara and eyebrow enhancer both can be washed off with warm water but it remains well through the day even when I sweat a bit.

I haven use the tube thing on the most right of the picture. It was a free gift which I suppose to drip a few drops into the mascara bottle and shake to soften the dried up mascara.
Definitely would want to buy back shizens though it is a bit pricey.

Laneige!
Bought their eyeliner because I really love love love the colour and it is quite waterproof!
Haven't tried the foam cleanser but the other kit was given free.

Ettusais!

I use it for my usual routine. Been using their foundation like forever and always refilling it. I use number 30 cause I got kind of dark after all the fishing that I do. I bought the lip essence also which I find it normal and the pink 01 blusher. I think the colour is a bit too light for me. Still prefer their orangy pink one which suits my tanner skin.

Anyway purposely buy above an amount of money to get my calendar and note book hee.
The tube above is actually for hands and hair and I bought it cause it smells really nice.

Well that's it for my review. I totally got no time to upload my Taiwan pictures.. oh well.. hope I have the time to blog again soon..

Carousell

Hi all!!

I finally have time to settle down and let my blog regain life! Anyway I should make some progress on the Envie De Neuf products I am using.
I know I know... the price is really kind of steep but I think it is working well on my skin.
My skin tend to have freckles and some acne scars cause of my itchy hands but I do feel that it is lightened a little by the products I have been using. The small little bumps that I usually have on my face are also reduced and can really see that only maybe one or two appears in a while.

Anyway I really love the Idebenone Silk Essence even though when you pat it on your skin it will be sticky but it gets absorbed really quickly. I would then apply the Fullerene moisturizer on top which reduces the stickiness and keeps my face from drying up in my air conditioned room. It also keeps my face less oily throughout the day but kind of impossible to be the whole day cause I get into the outdoors most of the time.. Well..The job of a PE teacher..

Anyway I bought more of the products in Taiwan and I am currently trying out the Grape Seed Vivifiante Face Wash  which smells really refreshing and leaves my face less drying. Will be trying it out further to review a bit more about it.

I will upload photos of the products and hopefully my skin.

Anyway back to today's topic. I just started using this app called Carousell which allows people to sell stuff through it. Just started trying out and uploaded three items I would like to sell.
Do download this interesting app to take a look and my link is : Carousell.co/evevy

I am selling my Naruko brightening and firming serum, Catalina Geo make up base which is really cool and also my laneige water sleeping mask.

Would love to do my travel logs on my Hong kong, Bangkok and also Taiwan trips soon! =D

Cheers!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to anyone who is reading this!!

How did you celebrate your Christmas eve or going to celebrate your Christmas this year?

Well same old thing for me.. Celebrating Christmas over at my aunt place ever since I was like a baby? We use to exchange gifts and the little ones will get presents which was my favourite part! Being an aunt now means buying presents instead of receiving.. which is also fun actually!

I really miss spending my Christmas in the US cause the weather is cold and everyone is sooooo into Christmas! Pretty lights everywhere and gigantic Christmas trees with fantastic decorations in everyone's houses! Could still remember I played with snow for the first time in Tucson two years ago on Mt. Lemon with my sis and kids and friends! Definitely a memorable one.

Do make your Christmas an enjoyable and memorable one!!

HoHoHo!!

Envie de neuf

Well the more you earn the more you wanna spend your money.. Hm.. So this year's bonus for civil servants is really not bad as compared to last year which was super stingy.

Decided to get myself something to pamper myself.. I have never really believed in spending too much money on skin care products but this time its different.

I got to know this brand Envie de neuf during the Taiwan trip with Hengpei and we actually bought something from the pushy sales lady but it was a good buy.. We bought the gold exfoliation wash for a price of 1 for 1. If I remember correctly it was 40SGD. The sales lady pushed us with loads of stuff but in the end we only bought that and got a free eye mask.

Isetan Westgate outlet just opened in the beginning of this December and they were having sales. I saw this brand again in Isetan and was super tempted to try their Fullerene C60 Youth recruit complex. This was a rave in Taiwan by Nu ren wo zui da and there are pretty good reviews of it. BUT BUT BUT it is really quite expensive. The first day I went there I didn't buy but I gave it a lot of thinking and I decided to go back and buy it. So I actually spent quite a lot on the moisturizer and I also bought their serum which is the Idebenone Silk essence. The sales lady was really nice because the Christmas package they were giving was not enticing at all.. She changed all the products into ampoules for me. This should not happen but she changed it and I got the EGF and Pure hyaluronic acid ampoules. Each ampoule should be used for 14 days once opened. One for whitening and one for moisturizing.

So I just started using the Fullerene C60 and I am starting to love it! Haven't use enough to really do a good review on.. But what I can say is... I just started using laneige and after the toner I use their balancing emulsion and also the water bank cream. These leave my skin kind of oily after a while even though I use really little of it. I stopped the waterbank cream and applied this Fullerene C60 last night and today and it is super different!

My skin is totally not oily for the whole night and I can feel that it absorbs the stuff quite well. Today I did the same thing before my make up and my face was feeling really good for the whole day. I shall use this a bit longer and see how it goes! I haven't start using the essence yet so will do another review of it soon!
Going Taiwan to see if there are good buys on this brand hee!
So here is a picture of the products I got!

And this is the Fullerene C60 I am talking about! Anyway this bottle is the 130ml which is limited edition because they usually only sell the 100ml. And the 130ml is now going on the same price with the 100ml at west gate Isetan. Till when I am not sure.. But this is really quite awesome =D

First post!~Yeah!!

Been blogging for years but I feel like starting a new blog for the year 2014.

The first post will be all about my new year resolution and review of my year 2013!

So here goes...

2013...
1) I started off the year by going to Bangkok for the 2nd time (after the December trip) in January with my PE classmates! It was a fulfilling trip because we really shopped till we drop!

2) Started my PE course semester 2 and I took what I love to play which was badminton but I didn't get to take track n field. Got swimming module instead. However I felt that I really improved a lot on my swimming skills. This semester really got me pumped up!

3) In march, dar, two of his friends and I went Bangkok again. It was my third time but for another purpose. Going Bangkok with two guys not = to shopping. This time we brought the two other friends to fish at Bungsamrun which we went during December. I got fitter due to my tough semester modules and fished up I think 3 Mekong catfishes this time. The fight for this species here is unforgettable.

4) I visited the SEA aquarium for the first time in April on the weekend before I went for OBS. Dar accompanied me because it was suppose to be my birthday trip. And he prepared a surprise birthday party which I have already kind of guessed it. But well it was a pleasant surprise..Only thing regretful was that I didn't take any photos with the cake because I shared it with his friend whose birthday was the day itself.

5) I spent my birthday in OBS! oh yes.. I had a 5D camp in OBS. it was actually kinda fun because I had a great group of friends who really worked well together and took care of each other well. It was really a great experience. I get to not bath for like one whole day.. hahaha..

6) After OBS was HengPei and my first ever overseas trip together! and we went to Taiwan for 9D!! It was definitely an enjoyable and life changing experience. Made me totally fall in love with Taiwan!! except for the mosquitoes and the day my eye got swollen.. >.<

7) After Taiwan was dar and my furthest overseas trip together. We went Hong Kong together for the first time! Hong Kong wasn't as fun as Taiwan and we went only 5D4N. Things were way more expensive and the accommodation was freaking small and squeezy. Although I bought some face stuff from their SaSa and the most enjoyable part of the trip for me was the Ocean World Theme Park. Super awesome roller coaster rides! love it! Oh forget to mention.. We did spend a day travelling around Macau too! and it totally reminded me of Vegas! I totally want to go back to vegas some day.. Maybe for honey moon??

8)Then coming back to reality.. It was the start of the first teaching practicum for me which was only 5 weeks but I had a great learning experience. Was posted back to my previous contract school hence everything was not new to me. It was so nice to see all the caring teachers and get to learn from them again. I had an awesome TP1 due to the friends I have met through the 5 weeks! We made the whole staffroom so noisy and hip!

9) Then it was the start of Year 2 1st semester. And this time I got to take Tennis and Dance. Had a awesome coach for tennis who is a Korean but super super cute one! He is totally cool and friendly. Dance was fun because of my group mates! we totally made the whole jingle bell rock song cool!

10) Went to Pioneer secondary for one of my modules to teach and the students there are actually pretty nice!

11) Had a 3D2N trip to Rompin this year for Sailfish! and I finally get to fish a sailfish after two years. It is definitely another fish to have an awesome fight with and taking a photo with it is an honour! =D

12) Oh ya.. I started my Biology modules this semester and got to know even more people around school. This time they are all the super crazy biology teachers. And the lecturers were nice people too! This semester was kind of crazy but everything ended smoothly.. including the results phew..

13) I started my driving lessons!! Like finally... N my practical date is booked. It is on the 14 feb valentine's day next year -.-" haha!!

14) Another Bangkok trip and this time with my great buddy Hengpei again! weee.. I brought her around BKK just like my second home and we ate all the great food. Two buffets k! hahaha..

15) I am about to end my year with an awesome Christmas and a long Taiwan trip again but this time is with my dar... Its a 10D trip to places like Kenting which I haven't gone there yet. Will be counting down over there though..

So this should be the end of my 2013

Some new year resolutions I came up for 2014
1) Get my driving license
2) Complete my last semester at NIE well and enjoy the last few weeks of it!
3) Be an awesome teacher at whatever school I am posted to!
4) Save more money for my new house
5) Exercise and eat more healthily
6) Spend more time with Milo and OrhBin
7) Take better care of my skin! =P
8) Have a good holiday to Korea / Australia!

I guess these are some stuff that I just tot that I should do in 2014 and I shall work for it! =)
